Canterbury Partners With Eagle Impact Rugby Academy
July 17, 2015 – Canterbury North America is proud to announce a three year partnership with Eagle Impact Rugby Academy, (EIRA) to help support and further the academy’s goal of closing the gap between American players and their international competition.
EIRA has already established a reputation for excellence, honesty, value, and trust. The non-profit is dependent on a volunteer network of committed coaches, whom with the support of Canterbury, will develop the next generation of elite young rugby players.
"I'm delighted Canterbury is getting behind our program and supporting Eagle Impact Rugby Academy. Canterbury shares our commitment to the game and they complement what we're trying to achieve." says Salty Thompson.
Managing Member, Robbie Flynn commented on the partnership, “It is programs like EIRA that will take this country to the next level of international play. Our work with grassroots rugby is important to introduce and sustain growth of the game that builds character and passion for the sport. However performance based programs that provide pathways and sophisticated skill training like EIRA will lead to greater success on the international field, which is essential to continue that growth trajectory in the US. We are honored to work with Salty who is known for his credible results, authenticity, and his relentless dedication to young athletes. He is good person, doing good things and we will always get behind that effort.”
